Inanahi i haere mātou ki te awa.
I ine mātou i te puratatanga o te wai.
I kimi mātou mo ngā mea e noho ana i te wai.

He piriwai tēnei.
 I kite a Tryson i ēnei kohatu.
 He koura tēnei.
He pai ki a Jade ngā kohatu.
 He tuna tēnei.

 He ika tēnei.
Kei te mātakitaki mātou i te tuna.
Kei te ine a Whaea Mel i te pāmahana o te wai.

He tino pai tā mātou haerenga ki te awa!

Te Awa

I te Rāmere i haere mai a Whaea Mel ki te kōrero ki a mātou e pā ana ki te mauri o te awa.

On Friday Whaea Mel came to talk to us about the health of our rivers and streams. We learnt that a healthy stream needs to be cool (makariri), clear (purata) and flowing (e rere ana).

makariri
purata
